Insectophobe Insectophobe

Design a short filmed portrait (3 to 6 minutes) centered on individuals or collectives from Geneva who question our ways of consuming and living together, in connection with values of simplicity, solidarity, and local engagement.
The project was carried out in pairs, exclusively in video format. The film had to respect a fixed duration, incorporate specific visual choices, and include autonomous synchronous sound recording. The entire process from preparation to post-productionhad to be coherent and well-argued.
We created a docu-fiction to raise awareness about the importance of insects. Through humor and sincerity, the film reverses the way they are perceived. The greenish, desaturated color grading evolves according to the emotions, with high-angle and low-angle shots used to reinforce the perception of the character.

Dans un monde où les insectes sont craints, écrasés et méprisés, un insecte humanoïde tente de vivre sa vie discrètement.
Chassé de chez lui et rejeté de partout, il perd peu à peu l’espoir d’exister autrement que comme une vermine.
Mais alors qu’il est au plus bas, il croise la route d’Insectopode, un humain capable de le comprendre et de lui rappeler l’importance vitale de son rôle dans l’équilibre de la planète
